As a farmer, Kevin Carver decided to change the way he grew crops and raised livestock. He wanted to work with nature instead of against it. To use the natural balance it provides to produce food in a more sustainable way, and ultimately, food that is healthier to eat. In a nut shell, he wanted to be a better farmer. So in 2007 we established PEI Berries and began to research things that affected the crops we grew and the food we produced. And we actively share this knowledge with other local growers, so they can become better stewards of their land. We firmly believe this approach not only improves the sustainability of farming in general, but provides a better standard of living for the owners of those farms as well.
